About the 590LDC 00 001
The Eurotherm 590LDC 00 001 DRV LINK DC Drive is a DC motor controller package containing a 590 LINK PC drive, a DC contactor, and one or more AC power supply fuses.
To keep electrical interference from the drive as low as possible, follow the guidelines below as you plan the installation. These guidelines will reduce the emissions caused by the motors.
-
Use a shielded and armoured cable between the motor and the motor protecting earth ground. If the site doesn’t allow for grounding at both ends, make sure one end is grounded and use a 50 volt capacitor at the other end.
-
If you must use unshielded cable, keep it as short as possible.
-
Always check the shielded cable for cracks, cuts, and broken connectors.
-
It the cable cannot be one long cable and must be connected in between, use contactors and always use the shortest route.
-
When making connections in the cable, strip back the shield the shortest length possible.
-
If shielded cable is not available run the cable in metal pipes or conduit. This metal acts as a shield. The conduit must be not have breaks in it and must cover the whole length.
Use these guidelines when you plan the cable routing.
-
Always use the shortage cabling run between two connectors.
-
If you suspect two cables might carry interference, keep them apart. That is, don’t run them close to each other.
-
Instead, run cables that produce interference at right angles to each other.
